A Message from Our Pastor
A very Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers in our community. We honor mothers and remember them very specially, and there really is no way to over-estimate the value of a good mother to her child or children. But we are coming more and more to realize that the same can be said about a good father. The example a father gives teaches his children about responsibility, respect for each other, self control,solving problems in a peaceful ay and appreciating the great gift of life God has given us and not abusing that gift in yourselves or in others. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true. Bad example also is a powerful teacher and can encourage children to not take responsibility, not respect others, not control ourselves and our actions and doing things to destroy the great gift of life. The call today is for all fathers to be very good fathers, as they want to be, and to do it by being good examples of what a good father really is. Happy Father’s Day.
I would also like to mention again the possibility we all have to make our Sunday donations electronically (
www.givecentral.org). It is very easy and safe, and saves us from having to find our envelopes, look for the proper change or figure out that to give this week. We can make up our minds and make a donation weekly, every other week or monthly, as we
choose, and in the amount we decide on ahead of time. Contact the parish office at (773) 522-0142 for instructions on how to do it. Please consider it. I did.

Mensaje de nuestro párroco
Muy feliz Día del Padre a todos los padres en nuestra comunidad. Honramos a la madres y las recordamos de manera muy especial, y realmente el valor que tiene una buena
madre para sus hijos no se puede medir. Pero cada vez más no damos cuenta que lo mismo se puede decir acerca de un buen padre. El ejemplo que un padre le da a sus hijos es el modo en el que les enseña a ser responsables, a respetar a sus semejantes, a tener control de ellos mismos, a resolver los problemas de manera pacífica y ha valorar el gran regalo de Dios que es la vida y no abusando de ese regalo ni con ellos mismos ni hacia los demás. Desafortunadamente lo contrario es también una realidad. El mal ejemplo es también un poderoso maestro y puede motivar a los hijos a no tomar responsabilidades, a no respetar a los demás, a no controlarse y a hacer cosas que destruyen el gran regalo de Dios que es la vida. El llamado el día de hoy es para todos los padres para que sean buenos padres, como ellos quieran ser, y serlo a través de darles un buen ejemplo a sus hijos. Feliz Día del Padre.
También quisiera mencionar nuevamente que existe la opción de hacer nuestras donaciones dominicales de manera electrónica entrando en la página
www.givecentral.org. Es muy sencillo y seguro, y nos evita el tener que buscar el sobre, buscar el dinero exacto que quiero dar o tener que decidir cuanto es lo que voy a dar cada domingo. Podemos
decidir por adelantado y hacer nuestra donación semanal, quincenal o mensual, del modo que queramos y la cantidad que decidamos. Llame a la oficina parroquial para instrucciones de como poder hacerlo. Le pido que por favor lo considere. Yo ya lo hice.
